Welcome
Avarest overlooks Lake Rotoiti, St Arnaud Nelson Lakes. To the waters edge it is only a minute's walk. It is from here you can join the World renown walks and tramps available for all levels of fitness. Nestled amongst mature NZ Native forest filled with the sound of Tui and Bellbird song. Underneath the beech trees there is an understorey of over 130 Rhododendrons which flower progressively from August through to January.
